Hand Sewing Reupholstery Detail

The next phase in my reupholstery adventure...
The skewer pins are holding the fabric in place but I ironed the seam in the fabric before I pinned it to help me keep things lined up and straight....
The curved needle goes into the seat fabric and down through the piping....
 Pulling the needle through...
Pull the thread all the way though....
Pick up the fabric of the bottom fabric and go back up through the piping...
I actually had this about half way done when I realized I hadn't left enough fabric and piping to reach the back on one side...
SO I had to cut it loose and redo it.
But it is now complete and I also added a layers of cotton wadding (under the apron/skirt)--
One to fill in the space between the seat and the wood frame
And then another that goes from the piping down to the bottom of the frame.
I also tacked around the bottom perimeter just enough to hold it in place.....
