Wow....I received an email from Barn Light Electric a few days ago about this years' giveaway...

I'm sure I won't win but boy could I use some new lighting...in the living room...our bedroom...we have 2 ugly brass ceiling fans in our dining room and kitchen.....

How cool is this belt driven ceiling fan?!?!!  Love that....can't you just picture that in these two rooms????

However...

 I think this light may be my favorite...

instead of the ugly, 80's ceiling fan at the top of the photo!!!!

Giveaway gift

A few weeks ago Sara over at ALL THINGS VINTAGE asked if I would be interested in helping her out with a giveaway.  

OF COURSE!  

She reached 100 followers and wanted to give away a necklace.  So her lucky winner was Helen over at Wildberry Ranch.  Way to go Helen!

Here's a few photos of what I made for her...

 Helen is a momma and grandmamma :) So this is her anniversary date and the names her grandkids call her and her husband.

 I highly enjoyed making it for her.  I love that it's something special and totally unique.  It means something to the wearer.

Spice tins and announcing the giveaway winner...

Sara from ALL THINGS VINTAGE!!!!!  Congratulations Sara!  

So a few posts ago I mentioned some old spice tins....I saw this idea in the last Martha Stewart Living magazine---- using them to store pencils and pens.

How cute is that?!?!?!  I have to tell you the funniest part of this story is that I showed this idea to my husband and he says "Where in the world are you going to get a bunch of old spice tins????"

Seriously--- you would think by now he'd know better....

Not 2 or 3 days later my Dad calls "Hey you wouldn't be interested in some old spice tins would you???"

So anyways I used some magnets I had on hand and superglued them to the back...

I pulled the large flat ones off of the ugly blue plastic holder I was using before and promptly threw the plastic part in the trash.  They worked the best but I only had two.

And just to give you an idea how old these are....

Husband

Today is my wonderful husband's Birthday

.....and unfortunately he's in the hospital.  He's was diagnosed with Chron's disease when he was about 18 and every once in awhile it gets really bad and we end up at the hospital.  Please pray for him!  We have been very blessed because he hasn't had as much trouble as some people do.....and we've yet to need surgery either....Doodlebug and I are headed down this morning with some Birthday things for him.
He reads all my blog posts so ....Happy Birthday my soulmate!  You are by far the most amazing man I have ever known.  I know that I don't deserve you and that GOD chose to bless me with your love!  You are an amazing husband, friend, and father...I am so excited to be holding your hand through life and on into eternity.....So thankful for you...and I love you with every fiber of my being!!!!!

Skinny = 1/4"
 *AND* your choice of stamping if your little heart desires.....kids names, date or dates, phrases, the design below on the extra wide cuff, etc...there's obviously a limit to how much I can stamp depending on the size bracelet you choose.  
I have 2 sizes of fonts for letters 1/8"(Lg) and 1/16"(sm), only 1 for numbers 1/8"(Lg).
